When the deep dark was Introduced, I was surprised where Mojang was going for when It came to making The biome itself as well as The Warden. Minecraft wasn't meant to be the hardest game in history, but a spike In difficulty is always welcome if it's inclusion yields a reward. Hence I bring this suggestion:
As the player goes deeper Into the deep dark, a variant of the biome has a chance to be discovered. This "Deep forest" would be Sculk infested, as the stuff spreads across the walls and ceiling, with a new Sculk fungi and truffles hanging from above the cavern.
this biome won't spawn the warden, but If you're not careful, It can and will enter the area, especially if alarmed by a new mob: The deacon, a robed Figure made entirely of sculk with stone-like hooks for arms. they would spawn as This biome's equivalent to zombies, but will act more erratic and would yell (In a comical voice) "YAAOO!!" If they see you with their one eye, and will resort to alarming the warden with even more yelling if there's only one left.
In terms of food, another new mob makes it's debut: The colossus. This 7 block tall sculk ox can spawn inside the sculk forest, but may prove to be hostile if attacked, if a deacon is nearby or if the player isn't holding truffles, which can appear like mushrooms in the mega taiga or the deep forest. This mob can be used to get beef but can also provide a new mount, the 125 Health beast being able to carry 2 chests on it's back as well as two players.
