Different combat mechanics depending on attack speed
As of the latest combat snapshot, it seems as if the new combat is just 1.8 combat. There is no repercusion for spam clicking or holding down click, nor is there a reward for waiting for the cooldown bar to fill, in fact, spaming is better and more efficiant than waiting to attack, so it is just 1.8 pvp, but faster and with the new version's content. I think there should be differences depending on how you attack, some of my recomendetions are:
-Waiting for the cooldown bar does more damage
-Holding down to attack or spam clicking is faster, but does less damage overall
-You can only do critical attacks with fully loaded cooldown bars
This way there is more flexibility to what kind of pvp or pve style you want, while keeping the combat system as a new and improved combination of all and not just 1.8. As it stands today, the 1.9 combat is completely obsolete in these new snapshots. Overall I really like some other features that have been added to the snapshot, but I think combat itself needs to be worked on.
