The End is lazy and boring. It really feels like "the end" of the game, there's nothing much to do there, and many players quit after reaching The End. Instead, it should feel like "a new beginning" for the game! There needs to be a lot more content in The End so that players will keep playing.
How about a new game mechanic after you reach The End? You can make potions after you reach The Nether. Do the same for The End, perhaps magic and spells? It fits well with the mysterious vibe.
The addition of flying tameable mobs like dragons in The End will help with travel. Make sure it's slower than the Elytra, so that the Elytra still has an advantage. And make sure it's small enough to take it with you back to the Overworld.
Players who have defeated the Ender Dragon are usually quite strong already. There's nothing left to fear, no more challenges. Many games add challenging post-game dungeons, and Minecraft should do the same in The End dimension!
A method to prevent yourself from dying to the void would be nice, like an End Totem? Hardcore players will appreciate it!
These are just some ideas that you can add in The End to make it more exciting to explore. Feel free to add your own, like ores, mobs, and biomes! The End currently holds the crown as the worst, laziest dimension, and it really needs an update.
