As the title says - Let there be "The Back-End update". Sadly, it would not provide any new and quirky features for regular players, but for everyone who is hosting a server, making MC mods, doing anything with Minecraft, it would be great. Yes, it would be time-consuming. It would actually ruin Forge, Fabric and other mod loaders. But this is what Minecraft need. Proper back-end update, which would update all old libraries, spaghetti code, performance issues and other problems. This update should also bring "controversial" multi-threading features. It does not have to be 1.18, or 1.19, but it should be announced and transparent, that Mojang will update Minecraft's back-end to be matching with today's standards, someday. There is a 2-year-old post, which brings up multi-threading, but nothing was done, or at least, on a bigger scale. And maybe bring it with Modding API, which was promised a long time ago.
