Off-hand capabilities in Bedrock Edition

Dual-wielding is arguably one of the best things about Minecraft: Java Edition. Some steps have been taken to implement letting the player hold specific items like shields and fireworks in Bedrock Edition, but I think that the player should be able to put any item in their off-hand like Java Edition players can. If Mojang did this, I would be very grateful.

  i think you should also vote for this posts because they already have some votes so maybe mojang will se it and add it.

  and i think it would be very usefull i'm also want them to add it.

  yes like being able to use torches and stuff in your off hand. and on console the button would be the button to interact with blocks and doors and bow that should also the the button to use off hand and for keyboard it will be the right click.

  This would be handy as on many world's the most efficient xp source is fishing but to repair tools whilst fishing is impossible as you have to be holding a rod so to be able to fix my pickaxe whilst fishing would be a godsent

  Instead of the interact button, on PS4 it could be the Touchpad
