The combat system in Minecraft is a very delicate subject, with there being ones who agree or disagree with the current updates it has had. However the combat system is something that doesn’t let Minecraft go to the next level with Real World applications. I’m not suggesting any graphical type of update, I’d actually prefer if Mojang would create their Minecrafty identity to it. I was thinking of something along the lines of having different combat types that the player could choose from and learn their favorite one. The types could be encouraged from cultures around the world, like Medieval Knight Style, Spearman Style, Japanese Samurai Style, and of course Archer Style, etc. These styles would affect the player with historically accurate fighting styles along with weapons while being a real endgame ability. To balance this I would say that a fighting Style could just have noticeable but not so big difference in overall damage, but movement. I would also like it to be taught by rare types of Illager maybe living in different biomes, maybe different Types being in certain Biomes. This could encourage exploration, while along the way finding archeological sights, Traveling Merchants, and the new Medieval Illager, Spearlliger, Samurai Illager, Archlliger, etc. This idea could solve the current issue that Mojang has to combine Java and Bedrocks’s combat systems, by just making a unified new one that matches what Minecraft is all about, encouraging the real world.
