    Swords are very much not faster than pre 1.9, before 1.9 you could attack as fast as you want limited only by how fast you can click, but now you can only attack 3 times in a second which is considerably slower than 10-20 times a second

    There is only 1 main problem with your balance, and the official balance: Attack reach. You can just use a trident to poke someone, and then run away, and do it again and again. There is nothing you can do, except using a trident yourself, so the only viadle weapons are gonna be those with high reach. Change my mind.

    Tridents have the highest reach and good damage but they lack on speed and you can use this weakness to your advantage by using a fast weapon like sword or hoe.Also you can use snowballs and fishing rods to slow/pull him down

    Weapons should be a bit slower… It’s like a more tedious version of 1.8/1.9 but you can crit spam with a netherite axe. They made the timing so bad.

    why an AXE has more reach than a SWORD? It makes no sense
