I think that the grimstone its to much and the texture is the same of bedrock.

I feel like the Grimstone blocks should have its own cave biome. Idk, its weird seeing it all around us when exploring the caves.

I like it, but I think that there should be random places under 0 where there's spots of stone, too! It should be a slightly (very slightly) lighter texture as well to blend better. But I like how it kinda feels like youre mining into bedrock!

I kinda agree, I wish there were big veins of regular stone cutting through the Grimstone, and there should be some Tuff in there, too, that would really look fantastic.

I agree, it just makes the excitement of mining deeper gone because the overwhelming grimstone takes up HALF of it

Sorry but the texture for grimstone is really bad.

First thing, the ores are so easy to detect and they don't blend in at all which is not fun! We want it challenging to find.

That new grimstone is cool as an idea (hard rock, heavier to mine, darker places - darker stone) but the texture is bad. It looks like bricks and in general when you are looking at those caves it just doesn't feel natural...

Also other stone variants are not blending like andesite and so on.

When it comes to changing ores, if you are changing something change all of them to look and breathe similar. Diamond, lapis and few others just feels different now but not in a good way.

Yea i tink the same they shut maby make it do you only have the grimstone in the caves in a 3 block layer or somting and have it in packs like granite or diorite under the same place

Grimstone's not a replacement for stone. it's just a denser version of it. Stone is only iconic because that's all we ever had to make stone tools and stone related recies until blackstone. There's still stone through all the layers of underground that we already had. I like the grimstone like it is because it goes really well with saying that you're in the new deep underground now, where things get more intense. We need more variation, just mostly stone isn't interesting. The only thing I'm worried about it is that if the big caves will look unnatural and weird if it's stone at the top and then suddenly turns to grimstone.

There's gonna be a crap ton more stone when they update the mountains. I think its perfect the way it is.

But it isn’t a replacement. If you don’t like the grimstone just stay away from the new layers. It isn’t hard to avoid since the grimstone isn’t even replacing any stone, since it only generates at parts where pre-1.17 there wasn’t any stone. I like how it is now

I guess part of the problem, also is that you approach y=0 a whole lot quicker with some of these caves. it seems like quite a lot.
