It's like the title, Minecraft doesn't need "op" weapons for a combat upgrade, we need a little more variety in combat, another design for non-op armor and weapons, not like a dungeon, we don't need more ways to kill mobs, It will be fun, I admit, but what we really want is more variety in"MPVP", not to go back to the previous pvp where I could win the fastest with the mouse -click, click, click-, more variety without sacrificing the essence of the game, in the servers, where we spend more time, when fighting you cannot differentiate one player from another, this could be solved by giving more customization to armor, only designs without sacrificing protection but with an extra cost of material, such as a roleplay, spearman, heavy, archer, etc.
Of course there are skins for customization but when you wear all the armor it is no longer visible and they all become the same because there are popular skins. think about wearing a closed iron helmet, gloves and shoulder pads as a replacement for the typical breastplate with a spear or a makuahuitl -weapon that fits minecraft, made with obsidian and wood, native to CA- vs another combination, it would be great to see something like this , instead of all full armor and netherite sword.
