Melee knockback depends on your momentum (to discourage cowardly combat)
So if you move towards a mob, you will inflict more knockback, but if you walk backwards, you'll inflict way less knockback. The current PVE encourages you to constantly walk backwards to avoid getting hit by mobs. Cowardly combat is also a problem in PVP, as players can just walk backwards while swinging a high-reach weapon to prevent themselves from getting hit. If knockback becomes momentum-based, it would prevent "backwards" combos and encourage less cowardly combat!
This would add strategy to combat by encouraging forward movement for effective combos on mobs and other players.
