Armor change in java as in bedrock 

 
It would be incredible that in the new update of the combat in the java version it has the characteristic of changing armor if you already have it on and it is replaced by right clicking having the armor in the hotbar

    This combat change is gonna be happening on both platforms so you will be getting what you want reguardless.

    i play java and bedrock and i like how you can change the peices with out going to your inventroy when wering a peice of armor.
