    I disagree with you.+1.9 is too slow and not fun for pvp and -1.9 is only about jitterclicking.But it would be interesting to having mix of these both system

    If Mojang would take a chill pill on their own ego, they could've just admitted the 1.9 update was a fiasco and reverted it. Instead, we're getting a whole bunch of new stuff that, while certainly better in some regards, will probably cause a whole new host of issues.

    Yeah 1.9 is great for survival and is a challenge for new players, and this combat snapshot is way to easy as you can just hold down left click to attack, plus the attack speed is kind of disorienting cuz the mix of 1.8 and 1.9 isn't what anyone wanted with this update

    What don't you like about it? :) There are a lot of changes such as potion slurp time changes etc. Is it merely the fighting/swinging portion? and if so what about that don't you like?

     

    I'm not trying to promote my own solution, but I came up with a possible fix I'm gonna post today, so that shows I agree with you somewhat. :)

    It mixed the bad parts of both versions.

    A fun way to fix the combat and make everyone happy would be to add an enchant which makes the hoe(cuz the hoe could have so much more) attack much faster(1cps boost every level, and max 8cps?). 

    Also make it so that you can only attack when the cooldown is full(or 80% for the skill cap).

    This system makes 1.8 style pvp a viable strategy and keeps the 1.9 meta. 

    Another thing I might suggest is sword blocking reintroduced(instantaneous, only blocks melee and has 50% chance of blocking, not 50% of dmg blocked) and the shield cooldown set to 0.5 seconds(blocks 100% of dmg). Also a dedicated offhand key bind.
