Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Other interesting features are that it would not be able to be affected by blocks on thw outside. For example, hoppers would not be able to put items into it or take items out of it. Comparators would be unable to tell how full it is

This seems like a very solid idea, however, if this is added and does not have an expensive recipe, it will make chests irrelevant. Ender chests are expensive, while shulker boxes have the risk of loosing everything in them if you lose the shulker box. So a solid post overall, but I would think it needs a draw back, such as only being able to carry stacks of 16, or not being able to form into a double safe, much like a double chest.

Safes could be named in anvils and they would be unable to be opened unless the user is holding an item that matches the name of the safe

I feel like locked containers would work best with a Safe as any other container could be easily mined if it can't be opened. For example, if chests were locked, the items could still be easily accessed by mining the chest with your hands. And I wouldn't make locked containers unbreakable as then you'd essentially have the ability to create bedrock

I did have the idea that name tags could be used as lock picks. They may either change the name of the safe or just make it so it doesn't have a name, allowing other players to access it

Safes could have reduced storage as well as be made from some Netherite, as I want them to be pretty difficult to mine

This could have some kind of feature that only you can open your safe, because it would be useful for people playing on servers. Also safes should have expensive crafting recipe, because if not, this would be op.

Do you mean with a password, like, you have to set the password when you place the block, and when you interact with the block after you have to enter the code?
