Should Shulker Boxes be Sentient?

I had a couple of ideas that would make Shulker Boxes feel more alive, but I wasn't sure if they'd do more harm than good. So, I made this post so that we can discuss whether these and any other suggestions should be implemented. When Shulkers have blocks placed over them they will attempt to teleport so they can open. I was wondering if Shulker Boxes should do the same, or be able to rotate to face a direction where they can be opened. While this would be cool, some people may want to use the feature where you can cover a shulker box and it can't be opened, and this idea would stop that. This also begs the question of whether they can teleport to whole other blocks if every face is obscured. Also, there have been some suggestions stating that Shulker Boxes should be fireproof, but what if instead they teleport out of danger such as if they are falling into lava or the void. Please comment below your thoughts on how Shulker Boxes should behave, if at all.

    I have also had ideas that Shulkers can die but leave their shells behind. When mined they would have a chance to drop shells, but if mined with Silk Touch they would drop a Shulker Box

    When damaged Shulkers may have the ability to TP into empty shells. I had the idea that this could allow them to turn your Shulker Boxes into things that can fight again. They may also be able to enter other things like normal chests (although possibly only Trapped Chests)

    Also, what if Shulker Boxes could become Shulkers if hit with a Shulker Bullet? Would they just become the mob or would they teleport away and leave one in it's place? Would the new one even be a Shulker or would it just be another Shulker Box? Would it duplicate items?
