    I think even if there is no implemented button we should still be able to put items that are not shields in the slot, so that xp collected can add to the mending enchantment on the offhand item. For example when I am grinding xp by actively killing mobs, I have to kill them with my sword and then quickly switch to the hotbar slot with the item I want to repair. Instead we should be able to use the sword from the hotbar and then have the xp repair the item in the offhand slot.

    would also be good for PVP since you would have blocks in ur left hand

    Well there might be a problem for players on touch controls since they do not have a right click/left trigger functionality built in. I know there can be workarounds but it would just be more tricky for touch control users..


    Note: I do want this feature implemented! This seems like a must-need for us bedrock edition users but I don't think it could work well with touch controls. Still giving it a vote since it's such an awesome suggestion :)

    Why is this not a thing its sooo easy just add a x tra slot that's it
