    I like this idea, especially since it fixes blocking while attacking.

    I like this idea against mobs. You can reduce the damage you take from them, and after blocking an attack, you can hit them back, since they have a little cooldown after having their attacks blocked by the shield.

     

    On the other hand, swords have so much DPS that would make shields pointless in PvP situations. Your 10 hp of stamina/stability will deplete so quickly against a normal iron sword which deals 10 damage in less than a second, and blocking a single attack won't be worth it since you'll be instantly hit again because of the swords' high attack speed.

    But then what would be the point of axes? The cooldown and blocking percentage is a great concept, but at the same time, it would kinda remove the purpose of axes being used to disable shields. That's just my opinion though.
