Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Smooth Polished Stones (Granite, Andesite, & Diorite)

Like Quartz Blocks to Smooth Quartz, you should be able to smelt Diorite, Granite, and Andesite to get rid of that really sharp outline. As an avid builder, this would make diorite and granite so much more useable in builds, giving us much more variation, as well as hopefully inspiring people to make beautiful things with the stones, and help end the undeniable disgust of diorite.

    I agree with this idea. Having smooth variations of the polished stone types is a good idea. Removing the border on the edges of the block would allow for a seamless transition between blocks and would remove the "tiled" look of large sections of polished granite, andesite, and diorite. It would also allow for more variation in builds and ways to texturize large flat surfaces.

    This would also fit in well with the caves and cliffs update because these stone types are all found naturally in the caves underground.
