dogs (not wolves)

Dogs should not naturally spawn. They should be a domesticated wolf as that is pretty much what dogs are. So after breeding a wolf's 20-30 descendant (You need to breed the babies together this many times not the original wolf) you get a dog and there can be multiple variants. It would be like copper where it would show how long you've been in a Minecraft. Like if you had completely blue copper blocks you've played a lot of Minecraft. If you have all the dog variants you've bred a lot of dogs together. It could be the same with other mobs where the more descendants there are the more domesticated they get. like a fully domesticated sheep would drop more wool than a non-domesticated sheep. or cows drop more leather and beef and so on.

    No. Wolves will remain wolves no matter how many descendants you have. When one of these dies (and you haven't named it yet) appears a death message and specifically mentions that a wolf died, not a dog. The same would happen if you keep bread in a chest and leave it there for 2 months, the bread would remain the same and would restore the same amount of hunger bar. In fact, there is no Minecraft entity that is a dog, unless you are using a mod (obviously)
