UV Lamp for Caves and Cliffs update!!! (or the future)

This block can be crafted with the new amethyst shards and a Redstone lamp to make a UV lamp. Obviously, this lamp would be powered by Redstone, but the ideas I have make it all the more useful.

The first is how it reveals tracks left behind by mobs, this can be used for basic security (such as creepers which you can not hear around the corner of your house, it would also show players tracks too).

The second comes from how I personally heard that you can use UV light to greatly increase plant growth (this idea is self-explanatory but makes farming so much better, especially for peaceful players).

And the last, but by far the coolest idea (at least I think), is the certain mobs glow in a purple amethyst way! This can be imagined as a spider's exoskeleton, skeleton's bones, and even making endermen's eyes even brighter.

I know that Mojang has already come up with a new Redstone block/item for this update but I also feel that the amethysts lack content and could be used for mid to end-game content. Please consider my idea Mojang (if you see this), and for everyone else please comment to let me know what other ideas could make this a great block.
