So, as we all know, Minecoins require you to pay for them. I usually can't pay for Minecoins, so I just don't bother with them. But then, I had an idea: Community Tournaments that reward Minecoins. And since these tournaments would basically give out free Minecoins (To winners and participants, of course), where would the revenue come from? Well, I'm glad you asked. I was thinking there could be two types. The first type would be the free-to-compete tournaments. These would be available to all players and require no fee to play. And since the tourney is free, the grand prize could be something like 200 or 250 Minecoins, with each tourney being weekly and have different topics, like building or PVP. The second mode would be the payed access tourney. These tourneys would require a payment of something like 10 or 15 dollars to join. Alternatively, you could buy a yearly pass that would cost 300 dollars or something along those lines, or present a pass if you were formally invited by the Mojang Staff. And since these tourneys are pay-to-play, the grand prize could be something like 500 Minecoins. Obviously, there are probably a lot of flaws with this idea, but if this idea plays out, I think it would improve the community and the game overall.
