Maybe there can be a ore like a type of quarts that is only found in ocean caves (so there is a reason to explore them). In the real world, quarts are known for having "healing propertys" so maybe they can be used to make a block that slowly heals any player nearby or maybe it can heal the durability of armor and tools.
