Another use for copper please read before judging

I was thinking of another use for copper  as I would like it to have another use besides building similar to how the netherite feature works with the smithing table putting a iron item in the left hand section and a copper ingot in the right hand section could make it either a copper tool or a copper lining on a tool this could either give the armor and sword more protection/damage or allow for a new idea I had when struck with lightning or some other wave perhaps copper lightning conduction while wearing copper armor it energizes the armor and any copper tools you may have for a time energized tools cannot be enchanted but provide another effect I haven’t decided what all the effects could be but these effects could be stronger or weaker depending on the energy the armor and tools take in for ex engeized copper pickaxe could give a effect similar to efficiency or something else
