Mending should not be a level 1 enchantment

Mending is one of the best enchantments on the game, but it is too easy to get, as you only need to reset a villager's trade by breaking it's lecturn. To make it more balanced it should only apear as a level 2 or 4 trade, this way the person would need to earn the enchantment via trading and leveling it up. Also it would be a "blind" trade, as you would not be able to garantee that any villager would have the trade, incentivizing player to max level more than 1 single vilager.

  i'm liking the post even though I think a better solution in general is to increase the minimum cost for trades with villagers. 1 emerald per anything can be really easily exploited.
