Regeneration Interruption (for slowing regeneration in combat)
The problem with 1.8 regeneration is that you have to wait a really long time to heal. The problem with the current regeneration is that it's too quick in combat situations. Here's a compromise that will solve both issues:
I don't believe in adding unnecessarily overcomplicated mechanics to determine what counts as "combat", so regeneration interruption is based on the eating interruption mechanic we already have. Specifically, damage conditions that can cause eating interruption will cause regeneration interruption, which will half your regeneration rate while consuming hunger at the same rate, for 8 seconds. This is so your regeneration won't be slower when you fall, and you won't have to worry about players running even farther after you hit them with a projectile (as interrupted regeneration still consumes hunger at the same rate). This mechanic would make combat less boring.
