Please make them tameable. I have mountain goats and they are very curious and sociable animals so i think you should be able to tame them

Their horns should be used to make a horned helmet like Vikings wore. Perhaps some mobs could spawn wearing it.

There should be some way of stoping Goats from attacking players. Maybe an item you can hold?

I think an awesome Easter Egg would be that a goat named YEETsheep would have its ramming noise replaced with a YEET. This would encourage players to seek out goats a little more and give another use to the Name Tag.

Maybe they could add something where you milk the goat and make goat cheese?

Goats currently don't have any use. Popular suggestions include being able to tame and ride them, or being able to use goat horns as a viking helmet. It'll be like turtle helmets: they're a bit stronger than iron, with a special additional effect.

Wandering traders should have a unique connection to the goats. Maybe goats will not attack them or the traders will run away from goats if they are close.

Hi, I've got a few ideas for the goats. Please do take note that some of these ideas may coincidentally or not be mentioned before. Here are my suggestions:

    • Textures

A passive domestic variant. In order to achieve these, the player needs to bring a mountain goat outside of its natural habitat to be domesticated. It would add to the adventures of the player. Also a rare type whose skin is black. Its spawn rates are similar to those of the brown pandas and pink sheep. It's behavior would be the same to the mountain goat.

    • AI

Domestic goats should be passive and playful. I think they should bleat or scream when they want to taunt or scare you. It would be funny. The complete opposite for the mountain goats who are moody and neutral. Goats would be afraid of water and may eat an item dropped on the floor to emphasize the common notion of goats in both real life and fiction universe.

    • Item Drop

Goat wool called Cashmere. Cashmere has a thicker, rougher, and more durable texture than the sheep wool. It would come in 16 colors, but it would still be flammable; only lasting seconds longer when burned alongside wool. For a food source; goats should drop Goat milk. Unlike cow's milk they give a regeneration or saturation effect. They should also drop their own respective meat called Chevon to add more types of food items in the game.

    Feedback:

When bred, they should have 2-5 offspring. Their horns should be used to call tamed or domesticated animals and a baby goat shouldn't have or show a horn.

would be cool if they passively ate ferns / long grass, like sheep eating grass off the blocks themselves.

You should make a goat horn helmet that deals damage equal to your blocks per second when you walk into something. For example, if I walk into a pig going 3 blocks a second it would deal 3 hit points of damage to the pig and take 3 durability points from my goat horns.

Goats should come in different colors sometimes like maybe grey and hazel brown. Also Goats should be rideable with saddles. Also they should ram mobs that get at least 6 blocks close to them

I really love the goat mob, but with ramming being added to Java edition I think they should ram more to make the goats a little more threatening, as they don't ram pretty much whatsoever.

Goats should be found in raids as a pack animal, with bags hanging on their sides like the chest pig from Dungeons, and if you kill said goat, you get some randomized loot such as emeralds, steak, milk, crossbows, and potions during the battle. This will explain why pillagers and illagers and witches drop SO MUCH loot during raids, and the goats may nerf the drops of the illagers slightly, while the goats carry the majority of the loot as pack animals. These goats will be friendly towards Illagers, while they will be hostile towards villagers and the player.

The goats 🐐 should be able to be domesticated with wheat so that the player can mount it with a saddle chair since with his jump he could explore the mountains and that if some mob attacks the player the goat would envestiría to protect him this would give us more options when wanting ride one entity or another and not get stuck just with the horse since I think that an infinite world like minecraft is boring not being able to have the option to tame or ride another mob and only be able to ride the horse

NintendoNerd416 I'd prefer goat ramming to be rare. It makes the event more special and funny, especially since goats aren't hostile mobs.

There needs to be a goat scream that resembles the screech of an angry panda.

Goats need to be much more aggressive than they are right now, as they mostly just wander about aimlessly most of the time. To fix this, I think they should try to ram the player about every 12 seconds. To balance this, goats would have a trust stat that goes up if they successfully ram a player, but goes down if the goat took damage from a player. The higher the trust, the more time between rams. Trust is also passed down when breeding.

My reasoning for making goats a lot more threatening is that mountain climbing doesn't feel very rewarding, so having actual threats to avoid would greatly increase the skill factor towards climbing them and make the journey upwards more exciting and thrilling. This is especially the case considering that mountains are very rare, thus the player is usually well prepared when they do find one. The trust mechanic is there mainly so that players could have an easier time making a goat farm, or just having a pet goat around.

Goats should definitely drop wool or meat. Considering they are a farm animal and easy to breed, there should be a reason to do so. The fact that you can milk goats is good, but you only have to have one goat (or cow) in order to have all the milk you'll ever want. Especially with the multiple baby mechanic that seems to encourage farming, there should be something to be gained from that. Goat horns are cool, but at the moment they seem like something you won't need a lot of (plus you don't kill the goats for them). There hasn't been a new type of meat added to the game in a very long time while it seems like there's a new plant based food every other update. Though most animals that have been added to the game have reasons not to drop meat (they're mounts, small, pets, endangered irl, etc.), there doesn't seem to be a very good reason for goats to not drop meat.
