I agree with nidofly that goats should be aggravated by some object, however instead of it being red wool, it would probably make more sense for it to be a goat horn. Oh and what if it only aggravated them when you blow the horn. That might be kinda funny if you were trying to call your tamed animals to you but while you were blowing the horn you get rammed in the stomach and stumble off a cliff.

When goats jump, they appear to be jumping like a flea, or an astronaut jumping off of the space station and then slamming down because of the bungee cord; it appears unnatural. If the jump speed and height was only as proportional to their forward speed they might look better. If this were to be changed as so, however, it would make them unnecessarily slow on small jumps, so, to make them more facilitated toward the mountains, they could stand on their hind-legs (like a horse) and lean on the wall and propel themselves up the two blocks to the top: I'm not sure how this would look, if posting guidelines allowed, I could post a gif or a sketch that shows the goats doing so.

Also, please make their legs longer and animate them while they are jumping cause again it looks spontaneous.

Will the horn item ever get a use? I could see it being an interesting item to be incorporated into a weapon, or possibly a tool to herd animals. What if blowing the horn caused all passive mobs in a 5-chunk radius to flock towards the noise (and what if the noise wasn't the same one that plays in raids)? It's quite balanced, as the goats are in a dangerous place and getting their horns requires time and effort. The horns could also possibly be used to enhance tools with ivory in a smithing table to make them more durable. The smithing table needs some more love.

This might seem crazy, but goats in real life really like to climb on trees and can even walk on top of them like you can do in Minecraft. (If you want a good laugh, do a google search for goats walking on trees:) Goats should randomly decide to climb and play on trees, from time to time. Another fun mechanic idea is goats have a chance to knock apples from the leaves that they walk on.(somewhere between 1% and 10%) This would allow people to finally make reliable apple farms.

I was thinking maybe that there could be a new table added into the game that can combine items together. For example you can add the goat horn to a helmet, by doing this you can replicate the head-butting by the goats. It can also be used to attach things such as lanterns or torches to a helmet allowing the player to see in the dark. Another example could be to combine a chest-plate and an elytra. When the player takes damage while wearing the armor the item attached will take damage as well and could break off, making the armor return to normal. This may have to be a late game item that requires various late game materials to allow the player to forge to items together in order to balance it out.

    I have a nice idea:

The goat horn can be used in the helmet so as not to harm you

Okay, yeah, SuperPillager, you could enhance weapons with ivory, but I hope that it will reduce your village popularity to major negative and be attacked by Iron Golem even those that are spawned by the player since certain elephants are critically endangered becauses poachers are going after ivory in the tusks.

They are an amazing new mob and I think you guys have really outdone yourself with this one, and remember "goats over boats".

I would really like the goats to be neutral, so if they get attacked, they should attack back.

Since the goat knockback intensity is based on the armor level (from what I've noticed), it would be cool to experiment with having a tradeoff when opting to use a heavier armor. If players are wearing a full netherite armor, for example, they may sink faster into the snow blocks. This can make players opt instead to use lighter armor sets and it may introduce a new mechanic to the game where you have to adapt your gear to the biome! It would also create a reason for players to still have a leather armor even when they are not at the starting levels of the game. Furthermore, leather can be though as been warmer and more appropriated to the cliffs!

What a great addition! I think one thing that should change is that wolves will become afraid of them after they attack them for the first time because the goat will head butt them back. From then on, they will tuck their tails and walk the other way. You could add a tag "i.e. goat_fear:true" and it would be funny.

Goats are new amazing mobs, so here are some ideas that might help:

    1) Goats are ridable.

    2) Goats meat are chevon not mutton.

    3) Goats horns can be useful for making a strong helmet, you can also use a new enchantment called “spear” or something like that, which allows you to dash at full speed and strike at any mobs and players with your helmet.

think of more ideas like that please.

Allow us to milk the goats with a water bucket, it's functionally the same as cow milk but can be used to make goat cheese or goat butter by churning it. Can be used to make some foods, or traded with villagers for emeralds. Maybe even a potion.

Jump animations seem a bit too slow and clunky for me, especially in comparison with the warden or even horses. If they were more smooth they would fit the game much better imo :)

Let us be able to have double mutton for killing goats similar to that of the hoglins in the nether to where they drop double pork chops

Should be able to place Goat Horns on a Piston and it would break blocks it was pushed into, dropping it in item form (ofc a sticky piston would retract it as well). It would add the much requested block breaker with a typical minecraft twist, also it would look amazing. As an added complication, the item could fly in random direction forward. The Goat Horn on a Piston should also naturally do damage to entities if hitting them, perhaps low damage, but with a knockback effect.

    1. The breeding of Goats should produce two cubs.

    2. A goat with one horn should deal half the damage, while a goat without horns should only knock back.

    3. The goat model without one horn should alternately use the right or left horn.

    4. The goat horns should regrow after a few days in the order they fell off.

    5. Little goats should not drop the horn.

    6. Little goats should not have horns until they are adult.

    7. The goat horn can be turned into 5 bone meal.

    8. Goat horns can be used to brew Potion of the Goat Master, which increases jump and speed, but if you fall, you would take damage.

    9. Goats should be able to eat anything that can end up in the composter, as well as sticks, bamboos and iron ingots.

1:Goat should attack players when they are damaging goats.

2: when goat died they will drop meat.

3: Horn can be useful in other way, maybe add a enchantment call "Buff",It can be found in underground treasure room or Stronghold Library chest. Enchantment "Buff" is can let player do more damage and run faster, to get buff players need to play horns for 10 second ( like an instrument). It effect player in 10x10 block.
