I like the sound of a "Warden's Heart", but I dunno. Honestly, I don't want the Warden to drop anything valuable. The devs describe it as a kind of force of nature. It wouldn't make sense for us to want to farm it, that would just kind of kill the vibe it's going for.

I'd much rather see the Warden protect valuable loot than drop it. That way, everyone would rather avoid the Warden, not fight it. Maybe that's why it's called the Warden in the first place?

The reason I don't like this idea it gets rid of the creativity people have when mob proofing their house but with this they just kill a Warden and their just fine no worries ever

Me parece mas que genial, y tendria mucho sentido, porque en su pecho se ve como un bloque azul con almas, o eso parece, se asemeja a la arena de almas, y tal vez por eso le tendrian miedo

Text: “I think it's more than great, and it would make a lot of sense, because in his chest he looks like a blue block with souls, or so it seems, it resembles the sand of souls, and maybe that's why they'd be afraid of him.”

Personally I think the Warden should drop an enchanted golden apple, or at least have the chance, because even it may not be known as a true mini boss, it seems hard enough that it should give some great reward if they defeat it, and no one almost ever finds an enchanted golden apple anyways, and with all the work and skill to kill 1, it really deserves a drop like that and not just a trophy. Just because a monster can drop loot doesn't mean it can be farmable, there are ways Mojang can prevent that so it's balanced.

the warden is meant to be a natural disaster that no one is supposed to kill and it would not make sense to have a drop for that like are you supposed to flee from a tornado or attack it but if it had a drop it would not be special it would just drop a skulk sensor or something due to how the warden and a sensor behave the same (apart from the vibration radius). we wont want to farm it. besides the wardens name means guardian and in the trailer it seems like theres a structure that the warden is guarding

I think warden should drop disc 11(scariest minecraft disc)
Which can till now only be obtained using creative.

I want to add that I really love the stealth and nerve-rack elements that come with the Warden and the Deep Dark in general, and I think you should always experience them whenever you go there. They are unique but they also relate to the first night experience. Minecraft is a game that can fit a lot of concepts, themes and gameplay designs. Fear, stealth and challenges like the Deep Dark are something the game really needs, and I think the developers should keep up with their current plans towards the Warden and all the gameplay around it.

Maybe you need to craft it together with a conduit (which requires a heart of the sea), giving it new life and perhaps a wither rose (to make it suitably end-game) which will create a living, beating, animated Warden's Heart that will stop hostile mob spawns AND prevent endermen teleporting (and picking up blocks) within a very large radius from where it's placed. It can act in a similar way to a conduit, but more compact.
Light can be a beautiful tool to play with when it isn't a requirement; especially as raytracing is the future of minecraft.
So glad OP posted this idea already! 100% agree :)

I think it would be cool that the warden ,when killed drops a warsen heart which could be somehow transplanted to your netherite armor using the smithing table .if you wear that armor ,(Same as a warden) will increase your meele output when taken damage

The Warden isn't supposed to be a mob that you engage in combat with or one that you want to try and defeat in any way. The Warden is meant to be an absolute disaster, something that you dedicate all your strategies into avoiding rather than beating. This gameplay brings such a thrilling amount of fear into the Deep Dark, something that Minecraft really needs. Remember that they've teased us in an Ask Mojang episode that there will be loot and resources to find there, so it's not the Warden that you're aiming for, it is the challenge, the risk and the reward within the biome itself. I really love how you need to be careful and stealthy to avoid death, and I believe that you shouldn't have to deal with it if you don't want to, which would make it really fit into the game. It should be a matter of whether you want the Sculk Sensors and other Sculk features or not :)

I just came onto this site to post this very idea! I want to add that I have found it frustrating that Mojang keeps adding light sources that aren't bright enough to effectively mob proof with, making them unusable unless you're absolutely spamming them.

As a builder who also likes building mini-games for multiplayer survival servers this would also be incredible. If Mojang doesn't take this perfect idea then I will be do disappointed.

No as they said warden drops nothing  or does it drop something what if in minecraft live they could beat the warden but they didn’t so we don’t know what it drops.

The warden heart should be a beacon-like object what is powered by skulk blocks, It would give nearby players Night-vision. It would increase a nearby skulk sensor's range for collecting sound and would amplify nearby sound by 3 levels and give off a light level of 10. This way it would not be overpowered but still a good item. If you were to place one of these in a deep dark biome the warden would be even more of a threat so the deep dark would stay dangerous. Another idea is that the Warden would drop 0-2 warden antlers what would be like an end rod but it would be antler shaped and have the skulk color scheme and give off a light level of 15.

In my opinion the idea sounds good. But it would completely eliminate the scare factor of Wardens. I believe that Wardens should drop something. Not stuff used to craft End portal blocks but perhaps a special item used to craft weapons better then Netherite. Due to the fact that Netherite is extremely hard to get. For this would make players want to kill Wardens more. Or perhaps enchanted books and a new enchantment. I'm not against Warden drops but I think they should be "treasure items," or weapons that players can put to good use.

Instead he could drop a random op type of amour but only one peace and it's random and the wardens hart and I have no ideas what the armour would do but the hart could be a chest plate and could tell you when it senses a sound and you need the full set but don't forget it still needed to be like as good as netherite so you could need the full set to use the sound source I just talked about

Seria interssante o warden dropar um "bloco sculk", que com duas trepadeiras ditorcidas, por cima na crafting table, você pode crafar um sensor sculk.

Doesn't it have a big hole in it's chest though? It doesn't seem like there would be a heart in there.

Rather than dropping it directly, it would be more thematic if the warden itself is unkillable and you have to sneak by it to find the heart as a physical tile entity which when destroyed will kill the linked Warden and drop as your reward.

You get a reward and Mojang gets to keep the their intended sneaky, non-confrontational gameplay intact, win-win.

I like this. Although, I wouldn't make it so that it would mimic beacons or structures. It should probably remain as a Trophy Item, MAYBE... A trophy Item that makes the lights and torches darken. Like in KingBDogz's presentation of the Warden, the torches darken and lighten up as the Warden is present.

Maybe it doesn't have to remain as a Trophy Item if there's an appropriate use. But I would rather prefer it to be a Trophy Item that darkens and lightens sources of light.

MAYBE it could be both. And that the Warden's heart would remain as a use for skulk mechanics.

I think it should have an exploding affect that kills the player and any nearby mobs when it's killed to make the player to to stay away.

I agree it does make sense but you could make it like a skulk sensor but you longer range works for carpets and gives you x-ray while your in the easiest I can see why you maybe wouldn't want this but the warden is already so hard you can make him drop both the heart and the skulk sender.

I think Warden shouldn't drop something that it is epic or something cause Minectaft Official have been said 'We don't want player attack Warden.' Therefore , why Warden need drop something ?
