Warden mechanics to improve it

Make the Warden burst through the walls if it heard a character block themselves in a wall so you are more motivated to sneak past it with arrows or snowballs. Honestly to get away from the creepiness have it pet small animals like cats and dogs kind of as a easter egg thing.

No, breaking blocks is too powerful and they are not nice, and would rather eat the pets.
