There are 2 small little things in the combat tests that need improvement. Firstly, that swords and hoes deal too much knockback. Secondly, that axes deal too little knockback compared to swords and hoes. I mean, there's a simple solution to this, right?
Weapons should deal the following amount of knockback: [current knockback] * 3 / ([speed] + 1)
What on earth does that mean? Ignore that, I'll tell you what it does: This would mean that axes would deal the same amount of knockback that they deal now, swords would deal 3/4 the knockback, and diamond/netherite hoes 2/3 the knockback they deal now.
The exact values:
- Any Axe/Trident: knockback is uneffected.
- Stone Hoe: deal 6/7 the knockback.
- Any Sword/Iron Hoe: deal 3/4 the knockback.
- Diamond/Netherite Hoe: deal 2/3 the knockback.
I just think this would be a really simple way to balance things! This way, faster weapons will still be better at knocking back thing (just by a little, though) but weapons like the axe will be good for knocking people far with a single hit.
