Yes, yes, yes! I totally agree with that. I think I made a post about this or someone else saying this. Intavoted

I would love to see this get added in the next snapshot! Perhaps they could also make it so Piercing literally pierces through armor, with only a fraction of the damage being absorbed.

This could be logical because I think it is more painful if an arrow flies through a body.

I think it should increase the range as well.

i think that i should not give a damage boost BUT a armor and/or protection enchantment ignoration, piercing going through the armor sound more likely

crossbow isn't meant to deal huge amount of damage it's role is to finish off the enemy while he is low on health or in the new snapshot cancel eating or drinking crossbow is fine as it is right now.

l.lachwicz  What do you mean? Crossbows in real life do a lot more damage than bows so it should be the same in Minecraft. Plus people have been wanting a damage upgrade to the crossbow because it's weaker than the bow with enchants and this sounds better than giving it the Power enchantment which would be op.

if piercing does more damage it will be overpowered with harming 2 arrowns (it was overpowered even before the combat tests)

Looking at the comments, I think the way they put it makes more sense, with every level of Piercing, a certain amount of Armor will be pierced. to give a small graph of this:

    Piercing I - 15%

    Piercing II - 25%

    Piercing III - 35%

    Piercing IV - 45%

Harming Arrows for crossbows are pointless. Invincibilty frames make the target only suffer the most powerful attack at that moment. Which Means that the harming arrow will do the same damage as a normal one.
