I like how liquid foods are consumed faster, but there's still not that much variety in food. How about making certain foods eaten faster to give them a use?
Note that cooked foods take the same time to eat as their uncooked variants. Here's the list:
32 ticks (no change): Steak, Porkchop, Chicken, Mutton, Rabbit, Salmon, Cod, Rotten Flesh, Tropical Fish, Pufferfish.
26 ticks: Apple, Golden Apple, Enchanted Golden apple, Pumpkin Pie, Bread, Baked Potato, Carrot, Golden Carrot, Beetroot, Sweet Berries, Spider Eye.
20 ticks: Kelp, Cookie.
