The combat tests have made some great changes, but I feel that they've missed the greatest flaw in Minecraft PvP; the knockback. Knockback in Minecraft PvP incentivizes chase-based combat, which is boring and slow. Watch any Minecraft video with PvP, or play PvP yourself, and you’ll notice how pervasive running is as a PvP tactic. If a player is running away, and they get hit from behind, they get boosted further away. Fortunately, there is a simple fix for this, I suggest that when hit by another player, if you are sprinting, your sprint is interrupted for half a second. Not only would this improve combat, it’s also realistic. If you were stabbed in the back, you wouldn’t get a speed boost and keep on sprinting, would you?
