Make explosions disable the shield

    I think it would be better that explosions could take more durability from shields. An explosion dissabling a shield has no sense, all the hit from the blast is absorbed by the shield. Why an axe can dissable a shield? because an axe gives a solid strike rather than a shockwave. However, may be taking 10% of damage could be a thing.

    This is a decent compromise, though in my opinion it's not really necessary because 5 damage reduction already makes a creeper survivable in normal mode.

    What if the shield does not protect the player from explosions? I think that's a better idea for PvE.

    Disabling the sheild doesnt make sense, I would prefer the sheild taking higher amounts of damage from explosions though

    It makes sense, because not only you nerf an overpowered thing without removing its functionality, but also this would be realistic, since a person would be stunned by the explosion itself.

    Also, it doesn't make shields useless, just a little bit less overpowered on that aspect.

    I think there should be some kind of penalty for blocking Explosions, whether it be this, or you take some damage, or something else.

    I'm not a huge fan of loosing more Durability, as I feel like that's something that's harder to notice, and might not make that big a difference.

    Blocking 5 Damage actually isn't enough to survive a Creeper explosion if the Creeper is right next to you, and you don't have good enough armor.

    (scratch that last one actually, I didn't notice they said in Normal mode. I only ever play Hard mode, so I dunno what the Damage is like otherwise)

    I agree, it should disable it for the classic 1 second, but for durability, I think explosions should deal durability based on how close you are to the blast, like how explosion damage is calculated.

    While the shield should be disabled it should be shorter than if it was hit by an axe. Creepers are almost completely nullified by the existence of the shield now. Charged creepers should still do damage through the shield (too powerful to just tank). Creepers have not been that sneaky since the grass hue changed all the way back in full release from neon green since they are still neon. TNT in PVP / PVE is a very niche occurrence but some do still use it as a valid distraction or means of area denial.
