Volcano

A mountain that spews out lava randomly. It has nether blocks and quartz on the outside, and inside it has magma blocks and diamonds (since diamonds need high heat and pressure to be created). And the volcano is very rare and difficult to find. However, there will be a time when the volcano explodes and destroys everything in a 64 block radius. Btw make sure the water doesn’t take out the lava inside the volcano, just like the nether.

    Great idea! A volcano sounds like a place where ruined portals and nether structures lie maybe an abandoned village will be nearby like Pompeii and maybe it will be covered in ash, basalt, obsidian, and cobblestone.

    Since the new cliffs update is coming out, what if the volcanoes only spawn rarely in a mountain biome? Since diamonds and nether materials would spawn here, it should be pretty rare. I know this next thing doesn’t make too much sense, but what if a new igneous rock was added there, (like pumice) and could act as the lava equivalent of a sponge. I think that that would be very helpful for epic saves and searching under lava. Pumice could also be used as a new stone building block. I think these would add more uses to finding a volcano that just there being rare materials there.

    They could also make the volcanoes out of ash soo the ash can be picked up with a shovel and the ash can be used to put in a camp fire because there is ash on the bottom to make the flames higher. The volcanoes would be more common on Islands maybe even island chains similar to Hawaii.

    There could be 3 different types of volcanoes, explosive, which would look like a normal mountain until they exploded, sending rock and ash spewing and covering everything in a 90 block vicinity with a mix of pumice/blackstone/basalt and the ash block. The ash block could have gravity physics to cover everything equally.  There could also be ash layers. The second type, shield, or passive, could erupt more frequently could have calmer slopes and lava rivers, as they wouldn't explode, per say, but would passively produce pumice around the lava rivers. The third type, extinct, would never erupt and be easier to explore, and beneath it would be a giant extinct magma lake. The cave would be surrounded by pumice and basalt types to be cooled magma. Ores would be extremely common here as it has been compressed for so long here. Just an idea.

    There should also be something like a volcano core which you can destroy to stop the eruption but maybe im going to far

    New ore is ruby. 

    ruby is use for upgrading the enchantment table. 

    upgrading the enchantable table: 

    reduce experience used 

    destroy curses using a ruby. 

    another use of ruby is making ruby rod to destroy vexes and reduce negative effect's duration. 

    Ruby is only found in deep at volcano biome

    And why add villages near some of these, I've heard soil near volcanoes are really good for farming so there would be farms!

    I think the update that has volcanoes should also add the block that the volcano is made of (Called Cinder), which could make some building material.

    There is lava IRL, it is found in volcanoes and inside Earth. In Minecraft, lava is found on the surface, in caves, and in The Nether. Since The Nether is under the Overworld or inside the planet it makes sense that there be lava there. But why in other places? And why are there no volcanoes?? I have felt that Minecraft needs volcanoes for years. Obviously, there should be something special there, and they should erupt (or explode) every now and then.
