I thought it was "hit the ground too hard", or at least used to be. Still, interesting and funny suggestion

How about instead of Mojang coming up with death messages, we can write our own in-game? /deathmessages would be the answer.

    Restrictions: Operator Only

    Does not count as cheats

    Syntax:

    Java Edition: /deathmessages <deathmessage> <typeofdeath> <deathmessagenumber> [color] [format]

    Example: /deathmessages "\"[Player] thought they could fly""\ minecraft:falling 0 blue italic

    Bedrock Edition: /deathmessages <deathmessage> <typeofdeath> <deathmessagenumber>

Example: /deathmessages "§c§l[Player] likes lava. A little bit too much." lava 0

Use [Player] to represent the player that is dying.

<deathmessagenumber> is zero-indexed, meaning that the first deathmessage would be 0, second would be 1, third would be 2, and so on. The game will cycle through the different death messages of that death type depending on the number. Using the same number for 2 different messages will replace the first one.

<deathmessage> Must be in a string (quotes).

    Have fun with the customization!
