When Microsoft introduced the new gamer tags, we were promised there would be a hash sign after the name and the number would be translucent or hidden. Now, almost a year later, this promise has been broken. Almost all games, including Minecraft, still use the legacy version of it. For people with unicode names this means an ugly ASCIIfication and those who got their names squatted have to live with the numbers being just appended to their names.
