Easier access to play online with friends

Why is it so difficult for my son to be able to play online with his friends? It is very frustrating. There is just no way. Please make it easier for online playing!

    The online aspect of Minecraft is pretty easy as it is, third party servers have their own way of running things.. But realms and single player are quite easy to get started with

    I completely agree, I dont want to buy a router just to play with friends. This is way easier on other versions.

    Note that if he is playing on bedrock edition, it's the simplest thing. If he is playing Java Edition, it's easy to find a public server.

    I agree, what a great idea! Minecraft would be the 1st to connect all platforms but that would take its very own form of internet. Right? I mean the game has already come a long way as far as connecting players. It would be exceptionally cool to have Xbox , phone, tablet, computer etc. Players all together. I like this idea but don't know what it would take to make this a reality.

    What do you mean it's difficult? It's one of the easiest things to do. On Java you have access to plenty of already existing servers and possibility to create a private server easily both for free or with a little fee. On Bedrock, all you need to do is to have your friends added on Xbox Live platform. And both versions also have Realms subscription, which makes things even easier.

    It is very hard for me to add my friends and play on realms even though I am signed into my Microsoft account. Please solve this problem to make it easier to play with my friends and play on realms.
