I like Minecraft Dungeons, but it could benefit from some more online multiplayer settings. I think one way to do this is to have random levels online. How it would work is that you would be able to join an online level with a minimum of 2 players and a maximum of 4. When the second person joins the online level, a countdown would begin for preferably 3 minutes until the actual round/game starts. This gives time for other players to join. The game automatically starts and neglects the countdown if 4 players is hit. When the game is about to begin, the level will generate and be based on a level all of the players have completed. The difficulty will be based on their team power average. If there aren't any existing online games when the player presses the button to join one, they will instead create a new one to be in and wait for others to join.
