Event-Exclusive Rewards should not be dependent upon possessing or acquiring something that has an extremely low drop-rate.
In Season 4: Dark Forest, one of the two Season-Exclusive rewards was dependent on possessing a Furnace Golem, and having said golem kill another mob. If the drop-rate listed on Crafters Guide is accurate, there is a 0.2% drop rate from Stone Tappables. That translates to ~1 drop in 500 attempts.
For anyone who does not currently possess a Furnace Golem, acquiring one in the allotted 2-4 weeks is nearly impossible. This Furnace Golem requirement is highly discouraging to new players, as I’ve heard the drop rate was much higher when they were first released.
My suggestion is as follows: Since there are three “tracks” to reach a Season-Exclusive reward, perhaps one of the tracks could include a more difficult challenge (such as the Furnace Golem challenge), and the reward could be something proportionally valuable and rare (diamonds, another rare mob, etc), but NOT something exclusive to a limited time event. This would allow those who are capable to receive a great reward, but would not block anyone from receiving the exclusives from the event.
