I think this is an awsome idea but it would need balancing like no loot cause then it would be littered with loot and unenjoyable

Needs to be a way to limit how many chests/gear can be obtained in a community created dungeons. Or dungeons created by the community are just for fun and you can not obtain gear/levels/emeralds.

Maybe you could draw an outline for a section, and pick a theme, such as desert, plains, or jungle.. you would then string sections together. you could also add chests, mobs, bosses, sub-areas, and sections where waves of mobs spawn.

For all the people worried about balancing, how about there are no loot or EXP drops in lone maps? They could set up a thing like super worlds in Super Mario Maker 2 where you start the gear over from scratch and any gear or EXP you collect only applies to that world? I think this would balance the system and prevent people from cheating the main game.

I think with that ability you should be able to perfectly tune the level, like the mob AI, the generation, whether there are waves, protect villagers and more

limit chest to 1 to start

per 10 levels you have you -1 chest limit

    level 10 -1 chest limit

    level 20 -2 chest limit

    level 30 -3 chest limit

    level 40 -4 chest limit

    Level 50 -5 chest limit

Maybe you don’t even have to share it, and it can act like an offline game that only you and your friends can play

The dungeon creator should be a modified version of Minecraft. Minecraft's engine is essentially a world editor anyways. If they don't do that they should at least make the dungeon creator control like Minecraft.

This idea is amazing, I love it. With dungeon builder, you could make your own dungeons which could increase replayability for the game immensely and imagine all the fun you could have doing this with your friends, great idea.

    This is a great idea!

After you beat the game, there is not much else to do (besides buying DLC)

But being able to build your own dungeons would be an amazing addition!!

I think I have a good idea about how this could work .....

first when making a level or dungeon you can use the "paint tool" to change the
texture of blocks ,this way you can easily change the look of your dungeon map.

in your map you would be able to open chest and fight classic monsters in "test mode"

"custom items mode" in this new mode you can make a 32 X 32 texture and then make your own custom item
,weapon , or armor. ... the armor is a bit more complicated though.

finally when choosing a theme think about what textures to use .

I believe you should be able to place default sections of a previously available dungeon and then add mobs and other accessories and details later. (but to keep gameplay fair these dungeons do not give xp and loot)

This would be amazing!  Maybe however there could be a setting in regular minecraft that you turn on and it lets you build your dungeon(with dungeons items)in the base game, then transfer it over to dungeons.

You would have to put something on it that only lets you put one obsidian chest, and some requirements. But it is an amazing idea

my ideas: (ps 50th comment lol)

it could be an app on mobile and you need a microsoft account to use the app and make a mission. there would be different scenery to choose from, and you would be able to choose mobs and items from minecraft earth, minecraft, and minecraft dungeons. also you can install minecraft mods into the game and you would be able to use the items, blocks, and mobs from that addon in the dungeon creator. you would also be able to make a mob from an addon a boss or miniboss, and you would be able to choose the stats and rarity of the items. and if armor is in seperate pieces, you would be able to combine pieces from the armor to make an armor.

you could even add a new rarity too! and you could choose the theme that plays during a boss or miniboss if it was from an addon.

Maybe this could work like the chamber dungeons from The Legend of Zelda: Links Awakening Switch

as you complete dungeons you get like sections that you can combine together to make one big custom dungeon!

YES!!! I love this idea and it would allow people to create dungeons inspired by other games, like Zelda and Metroid. Maybe you could also create your own boss and enemies, with options for new weapons and mini bosses.
