The Minecraft 1.16 snapshots have shown us a new feature that changes the way ambient sounds are played: The Mood System. This came with a lot of different nether ambient "mood" sounds that play depending on the nether biome you're in.
What I thought was, why not add different overworld cave sounds depending on what biome you're in as well? So for example, you could be in a desert biome and you could hear possibly the sounds of a distant cave collapsing in. If you're in a cold biome, you could maybe hear the sounds of a distant avalanche of snow rushing down. If you're in a mesa biome, perhaps there should be more sounds related to minecarts as there could have been recent activity of miners mining gold veins.
Obviously, the sounds should keep their eerie aspect, and I just think it would be really nice if different types of eerie sounds play depending on where you are in a cave.
