“Tainted Nether”

The Nether Update armed players with crying obsidian, a very bold block that also could help ready the game for future updates. This block could be used IN the Nether to make a portal for the “Tainted Nether”. After replacing your portals original outline with crying obsidian you can relight the portal creating a gateway to the “Tainted Nether”. This dimension would consist of weeping mobs and most would be passive however, if you attack them they become hostile. Every block in the “Tainted Nether” would be equivalent 16 in the overworld, and the equal to 8 in the Nether. The portal would be a goal for experienced players as it is the fastest travel option, however crying obsidian would be expensive to obtain making it worth the hassle. This biome would be a duplicate Nether assigned to that world, accept it is covered in purple foliage, thick particle storms, and new ruined structures. the world would introduce more exotic foods for the player to use against upcoming bosses and mobs.
