Limiting Nether Flora and fauna

Seeing as though you can't have piglins in the overworld because of..interdimensional reasons or something (not to sure on the lore). Would it not also make sense that the new fungus, nylium and other plants to die or at least be harder to grow in the overworld. I just feel like it would take away the feeling of achievement having an overworld house made of the stuff if all you need it a single block and fungus to grow it from.
