The Devourer.

Devourers a new flying mob for the Nether. They spawn in flocks of 15 or less. They are passive and will stay away from the player. If you have 2 magma cream, 1 rotten flesh, 1 golden apple, 2 ghast tears, 2 warped fungus and 1 crimson fungus then chuck it all in a crafting table it doesn't matter where you put the ingredients. And that will make 6 nether pulp which can be used to attract Devourers. The Devourers will swoop down quickly right click them with the nether pulp and then they become tamed and then right click again to ride it. You do not need a saddle to steer it you steer it with your mouse. Now when you left click while riding it the devourer will shoot i fire ball. Also wherever you go the flock will follow you.     Seems like a good idea, including that their is barely any rideable mobs in the nether

    No. No. No. I don't mind flying mobs in the Nether, but the Nether isn't meant to be a friendly place, I don't support flying mobs you can ride there because of the terrain is blah and I'd lag out (ever play MC on a non-gaming computer and try using the Elytra?) and either fall into Lava or suffocate in the ceiling.

    Maybe a bit op woth the whole fireball and flocking thing. The flying is already quite crazy. It would be better if you had to constantly use nether pulp to control it, and using a fire charge while riding it will make it shoot firrballs. The flock thing is a bad idea, as I doubt mojang would lag optimize this. Also, making it hostile would provide more of a challenge to tame and obtain. Maybe add a way to make this end game. For example, they can't be bred unless you have a dragon egg in your inventory. I am not sure. Mojang should then make it so you can get more dragon eggs legitimately.

    This would be cool but i dont think riding them would work well. maybe if they kinda worked like phantoms?

    Seems OP maybe don't make it passive and have it attack the player?
