I've found something very interesting about iron golems when are built: when the head it's a Jack o' lantern the light level lingers (even if that block has disappeared because of the golem's creation) rather when it's just a carved pumpkin placed on the "T" shaped iron block structure. Maybe it's a glitch but instead remove it why not use it?! Make the iron golems that are made with a Jack o' lantern head to take that block light level along with them (using the same light motion principle that lava uses when it's flowing on or flowing off); and maybe another skin for the iron golem head: if it is the carved pumpkin then the iron golem's eyes are lit off and the golem does not glow (using the current texture of the head), and unlike that, if it is the Jack o' lantern its eyes are lit on and the golem does glow (using the supposed glowing eyes texture).
In another post someone suggested a new golem, the golden golem, made with gold obviously. Maybe with the luminosity function, but that's too expensive, it's cheaper to using just a torch as a difference in the procedure.
Check that "glitch" please.
