When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

I have wanted this since the aquatic update! If you put lots of loyalty tridents in the dispenser, and wired the dispenser to a Redstone clock, you have a powerful machine gun!

I've wanted this to be a thing for a while, was disappointed it wasn't after trying it. It just seems intuitive that loyalty enchantment would make it work like that since the dispenser is the "owner" in that case.

There is certainly precedent considering that dispensers can use a flint and steel to set fires and can fire off arrows, snowballs, TNT, firecharges, and fireworks. Tridents would merely by the next logical step as far as projectiles and tool use go.
The ability to use tools does not make sense as a feature in most cases since dispensers show no indication as being able to perform a swinging action outside of what a bow can do and are by all appearances clearly meant to launch things out, receive things, and as the flint and steel shows flick things.

I also hope some tools can be used by the dispenser. There is some ideas: dispenser with the sword (hurt any entities);with the pickaxe/axe (may need more times to make blocks dropped);with the fishing rod (the fish which is caught would never run away).

Started making a drip stone harvester once I realized tridents could break drip stone. Very disappointed when I realized they couldn’t return automatically. Still… a fun use for all those tridents from my Drowned farm…

This would be really interesting to make Redstone clocks out of, it would also make cool killing chambers in mob farms!
