Granite Forest (Spires)

Granite Spires could be a biome in the new 1.16 Nether update. It is a biome comprised of only granite. Wither skeletons spawn here very commonly. There are massive spires, around 10 - 15 blocks tall, with mountainous terrain everywhere. There is no ambience at all, and a dark grey shroud covers the biome. Wither Skeletons spawn very commonly in the biome. Overall, could be a very ominous an creepy biome.

    I really like the idea of enormous spires covering a mountainous landscape, but granite isn't much of a Nether block. Maybe obsidian or basalt instead? Both of these need more sources in the Nether.

    Besides, a darker block would suit the Wither Skeletons too, and even help them camouflage while waiting to attack players.

    I agree, this biome needs a darker block than granite. Maybe Obsidian because Obsidian is sharp and pointy in real life so it would work for spires that look like spikes. Crying Obsidian would be awesome to but only if it is mostly made of regular Obsidian and only has a little bit of crying Obsidian.
