Stamina bars are often annoying to the player, which is fine in certain gaming environments but not minecraft. They would have to balance mobs again like creepers, skeletons, spiders, phantom, and every nether monster because they'd have a significant increased advantage.

    I suggest that

    a) Spiders should be sped up to match (non-jumping) sprinting speed,

    b) Strays should get Slowness II arrows,

    c) Zombies should have variable speed and health values when spawning to make them more varied,

    d) Creepers should keep walking even while detonating, to become more dangerous to the player, and

    e) Natural regeneration should be deactivated while sprinting, to discourage cowardice.

On the contrary, mobs were balanced for a player who could not sprint. There has been little to no balancing done to make them more or less dangerous to the player since sprinting was added. Sprinting broke the threat of the night since it became a feature back in the alphas.

there's already the hunger bar, wich in a combat situation, means foregoing a lot of regen to escape

Also, if a player wants to escape i don't see why you should punish him, he either can't face the treath or just doesn't want to, either way it wouldn't be enjoyable if he was forced to engage
