Soul fire enchantment

A new enchanted book called Soul Fire. This enchantment would be just like Fire Aspect but Soul Fire instead. It would do just 1 more point of damage then Fire Aspect 2 per tick and can only be put on the new netherite sword. You could not make this book you would have to find it as a loot in the nether.

    I had an idea yesterday for the ability to infuse netherite armour with various ores at a smithing table to give bonus enchantment-like effects (post is currently pending approval, will provide link later), but i struggled to find how ores could improve netherite tools except for diamond adding extra damage/speed/durability.
    Maybe infusing your netherite sword with some Soul Sand Valley material (such as soul dust: https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360057644091-Soul-Soil-Dust) could provide a soul fire effect?

    I think it should be something like fire aspect thorns enchantment, so when you get hit, the enemy catches fire.

    SoulFire Enchantment sounds dope BUT I do not think this enchantment should be able to be on Any Tool but only these:

    - Gold Sword
    - Iron Sword
    - Netherite Sword


    I also think that SoulFire Enchantment should be a rare drop chance from Piglins via giving them 1 Gold Block! <3

    Or make it so that a rare piglin trader is the one you must find who sometimes might be in a makeshift piglin scouting camp while they are traveling to get this from.

    Either way should be a Gold Block or Notch Apple or Golden Apple are the only acceptable items each with there own % chance of getting this soul fire enchantment.

    That being said I think that This enchantment Should light enemies less amount of time but they should a calculation to make sure 1 hit from a gold sword for example with this enchantment vs a gold sword with regular fire enchantment still does 2 to 4 extra damage from fire or more per time being lit on fire.

    Or how about they just add an extra edge case in the code, where when Fire Aspect is on a Netherite sword, it produces a different color flame?

    It does more than just change the color of the flame. Soul Fire does more damage than regular fire

    It should just be putting fire aspect on netherite tools to make it soul fire. Also they haven't added a blue fire burning animation yet too. When you hit a piglet it should also run away from you as they run away from soul fire.

    Instead add Fire Aspect 3, It would burn blue fire that does double damage

    I think this is a great idea and would make the netherite sword more unique, and there would be a good reason to get netherite now, because right now, netherite does not feel like it's worth getting because of how similar it is to diamond. Plus I think this enchantment should only be used with netherite and gold swords

    I really love this idea! I'm just not sure about the fact that the enchantment should be only with netherite tools. I personaly wanted blue fire for my diamond sword for months XD. But first there needs to be blue entity burning animation, so that it doesn't look like it's burning with normal fire. Also it would be cool to have 2 levels for this enchantment like fire aspect. And you could only find it in the bastions very very rare. Maybe a bit rarer than netherite in the bastions. What do you think? Any alternatives?

    I think Fire aspect should become soul fire (blue) when put on Netherite.

    I had the same idea, so I found this. I would would make 2 and name them

    Soul Aspect - blue version of Fire Aspect

    and

    Soul Flame - blue version of Flame

    Just the having a blue fire enchantment in general (on both swords AND bows) would be nice... not sure about having it only be netherite though...

    what if there would be a new type of netherite like gilded netherite i mean netherite is more common than gilded black stone so i think that would be useful the abilities would be strength 10 but slowness 6  resistance 10 but 2 seconds of attack cooldown will be added and everytime you fall mobs around you will take damage but fall damage will increase and feather falling will only reduce damage andit will take 10 times more rockets to move using your elytra ( so basically you get heavier that is why you get more powerfull defence and attack but your weakness is falling and flying) so yeah
