Makes it less expensive to get this great texture in survival

I really don't like this idea, as I feel that Netherite should become independent from diamond. you don't craft a diamond pick by crafting a single diamond with an iron pick. I feel that Netherite tools/armour should be crafted in the normal way. the way its's currently crafted is unnecessary, confusing to new players, and inconsistent.

Maybe have a faux netherite block for building purposes? Like diamond block+netherite ingot=faux netherite block. Still expensive but not as much I guess.

If the netherite textures ever change to have cracks in them like magma blocks, maybe netherite and netherite blocks have golden cracks (since gold is used) while faux netherite blocks have gold and diamond tints. This could actually be a fun sort of quality check of netherite, look closely at it and you may see animated blue sparkles hinting that it's not pure netherite.

You would have to prevent the block from being 'uncrafted' into ingots. I would actually be fine with this as it'd be consistent with the netherite set crafting at least.
